Questions Professionals Ask Before They Start
Which ASIS certification is best for a security manager?
CPP is the management-level credential. It certifies command of security management across seven domains and requires five to seven years of experience, including three in responsible charge of a security function. If you do not yet meet that threshold, APP requires one year and builds toward CPP.
What experience do I need for the ASIS CPP exam?
Five to seven years of security management experience, with at least three years in responsible charge of a security function. ASIS also requires full-time employment in a security-related role and agreement to its Code of Conduct. Full criteria, including how education level is treated, are published in the ASIS Certification Handbook.
How much does ASIS certification cost from India or the GCC?
There are three costs: our training fee, the ASIS exam application fee, and the ASIS reference materials — the last two paid directly to ASIS.
ASIS offers reduced membership rates based on country of residence. Candidates living in India can qualify; candidates in the GCC should check their country's eligibility directly with ASIS. Can I take the ASIS exam in India or the GCC?
Yes. ASIS offers test centre and remotely proctored options, with availability varying by country. We assist with the exam application and slot booking as part of every program.
Are your fees payable in INR or AED?
Yes. Fees can be paid in INR, AED or USD.
How long does preparation take?
Most working professionals need three to six months at a consistent weekly study pace. CPP typically takes longest, given its seven domains.
How is the training delivered?
Video modules organised domain by domain, which you work through at your own pace. Each domain has its own assessment, and five full-length mock exams simulate the real thing. A mentor is available throughout for query resolution, and we follow up weekly on your progress.
Is ASIS membership required?
No. Membership is optional, but members pay lower exam fees and receive free online access to ASIS standards and guidelines. Reduced membership rates are available based on country of residence, including India. Check the current country classification and applicable rate before joining.
Are ASIS reference materials included?
No. Reference materials are obtained separately from ASIS. Protection of Assets and printed reference bundles can be purchased from the ASIS store. ASIS members receive free online access to standards and guidelines. Our program provides structured preparation alongside the relevant reference materials.
